Online Participation in Faculty Academy
Faculty Academy is augmented throughout by your participation in its online components. We invite you to visit and contribute to our conference blog and wiki, and we encourage you to use the official Faculty Academy “tag” on your favorite social networking sites.
The Conference Blog
The conference blog can be found at http://facultyacademy.org/blog07 and serves as a portal for the event. There you can:

- Enjoy the Web 2.0 Educational Video Party
Conference participants are invited and encouraged to report and reflect on the conference sessions on their own blogs. If you plan on blogging Faculty Academy, please read our instructions at http://facultyacademy.org/wiki07/page/Blogging_FA
Using the Conference Wiki
The conference wiki is at http://www.facultyacademy.org/wiki07. There, you can:
- Read virtual handouts from presenters
- Contribute your knowledge and insights to the sessions
- Learn more about the presenters and presentations
Conference Tag
The official conference tag is FA07. Use it at del.icio.us, Flickr, on your blog (as a category), or your other favorite social networking site to help us capture conference resources and reactions. We’ll be monitoring the use of FA07 throughout the conference, and beyond.
Want to learn more about social bookmarking, image sharing, and tagging? Check out our resource page at http://facultyacademy.org/wiki07/page/Tagging.

Wireless Access at Faculty Academy
Guest access to the UMW wireless network is available for all participants. For the duration of the Academy, the guest access session time is 10 hours (you are able to reconnect as often as needed). When you open your favorite web browser, you will be directed to an authentication screen. Simply scroll to the bottom of the screen and click "Guest Access."
Loaner Laptops
Didn’t bring a laptop with you? Experiencing Web withdrawal? We feel your pain. Visit our registration desk and we’ll hook you up with a loaner laptop. We do require you to leave a driver’s license or university ID with our registration desk; laptops are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
