Adding your blog RSS feed to the Faculty Academy site will allow any and all of your posts about the event to be re-published on the Faculty Academy 2008 blog.
First things first, you’re going to need a blog. If you already have a blog skip to the how-to below. If you don’t have a blog yet go here to find out how to get one easily.
What is RSS?
RSS is an easy way of syndicating the contents of a blog to another source such as an RSS Reader like Bloglines or Google Reader. In this case, you have the option of syndicating your posts about Faculty Academy 2008 to this blog so that we can add a central, aggregated stream of posts about the conference.
How do I find my RSS feed?
Just copy and paste your blog URL into the field below and the RSS feed for your blog will appear in the space below. Copy the feed, and then paste it into the “Add RSS Feed” field in the sidebar.
Category/Tag RSS Feeds:
For those of you who only want to feed in a particular category or tag from your blog, such as the conference tag “umwfa08,” I believe WordPress (this includes UMW Blogs) is the only platform that provides a separate RSS feed for categories and or tags (go WordPress!). The logic of a category or tag RSS feed URL is pretty straight forward, take a look:
For categories:

For tags:
